The goals of the residency program are to: Residents will function as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team to assure integrated care for the patient, and will be able to provide primary care as a point of entry into the healthcare system for pediatric clients. This residency program is designed to prepare participants to become skilled primary care pediatric physical therapists by providing focused academic and clinical experiences.

In 2014, the Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy Associates relocated to a new state-of-the-art facility just a short distance away from the hospital campus at 6 Bayberry Court. The relocation was made possible by the Hospital Thrift Shop, which donated nearly $300,000 toward this effort.
